Le thème retenu pour la célébration de la 50 ème édition de la fête nationale est : « Forces de Défense et de Sécurité au service du peuple, pour la préservation de la paix sociale et de la cohésion nationale, gage de l’émergence du Cameroun».
La célébration à l’Ambassade du Cameroun à Riyad s’est déroulée dans la sobriété et la solennité conformément aux hautes instructions de la haute hiérarchie.
Présidée par Son Excellence, l’Ambassadeur IYA TIDJANI, de grand matin dans la cour principale de la Chancellerie, la cérémonie a connu deux temps forts :
-la levée des couleurs sous le commandement du Colonel REYANG GASKREO, nouvel Attaché Militaire installé dans ses fonctions le 17 mai 2022 ;
-le discours du Chef de Mission. S.E IYA TIDJANI qui a émis le souhait espère que le retour de la célébration populaire de la fête du 20 mai augure une reprise normale de la vie et une victoire sur la pandémie du Covid-19.
Concernant le thème, il a appelé l’ensemble du personnel présent à se l’approprier et à agir en conséquence en fournissant chacun davantage d’efforts afin de répondre aux attentes du Chef de l’Etat, Son Excellence Paul BIYA.

The theme chosen for the celebration of the 50th edition of the national holiday is: “Defence and Security Forces at the service of the people, in preserving social peace and national cohesion, guarantee for an emerging Cameroon”.
The celebration at the Embassy of Cameroon in Riyadh took place in sobriety and solemnity in accordance with the high instructions of the high hierarchy.
Presided over by His Excellency, Ambassador IYA TIDJANI, early in the morning in the main courtyard of the Chancellery, the ceremony had two highlights:
– the raising of the colors under the command of Colonel REYANG GASKREO, new Military Attaché installed in his functions on May 17, 2022;
– the speech of the Head of Mission. H.E IYA TIDJANI expressed the wish that the return of the popular celebration of the May 20 festivities augurs a return to normal life and a victory over the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the theme, he called on all the staff present to take ownership of it and act accordingly by providing more effort to meet the expectations of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA for an emerging Cameroon by 2035.
