Le Colonel Reyang Gaskreo, nouvel Attaché de Défense auprès de l’Ambassade du Cameroun à Riyad (Ambacam-Riyad) a été installé dans ses fonctions au cours d’une cérémonie solennelle de passation des Consignes présidée par S.E l’Ambassadeur Iya Tidjani le 17 mai 2022.
Après les vœux de bienvenue et de félicitations au nom de l’ensemble du personnel présent, le Chef de Mission l’a appelé à l’abnégation pour les hautes charges de la mission que lui a confiée le Chef de l’Etat, Chef des Forces Armées, S.E Paul BIYA.
Conformément au Décret 2012/149 du 21 mars 2012 portant création et organisation des Missions Militaires dans les Postes diplomatiques de la République du Cameroun à l’étranger, les Attachés de Défense sont chargés de :
-la représentation du Ministère de la Défense au sein des postes diplomatiques
-l’assistance technique du Chef de Poste diplomatique pour toutes les questions concernant la défense dans la zone de compétence et au sein des organismes locaux;
-la recherche ouverte par des moyens licites des informations dans le domaine intéressant les forces de Défense camerounaises;
-la prospection et la participation à l’acquisition des équipements.
Un officier pétri d’expérience
Né en 1971 à Doubané, Arrondissement de Guidiguis, Département du Mayo Kani, dans la région de l’Extrême-Nord, le Colonel Reyang Gaskreo est issu de la promotion « Paix et Stabilité de l’EMIA » qu’il a intégré après l’obtention du Diplôme d’Ingénieur de Génie Civile à l’Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics.
L’Officier Supérieur de la Gendarmerie Nationale, titulaire d’un Diplôme d’Etat-major obtenu à l’Ecole d’Etat-major de Gendarmerie de Yaoundé a servi dans plusieurs administrations du Ministère de la Défense avant d’être affecté à la Mission Militaire du Haut Commissariat du Cameroun à Londres en 2011. Il est marié et père de 03 enfants.
C’est un homme pétri d’expérience qui vient poursuivre l’œuvre admirable de ses prédécesseurs et apporter sa touche personnelle à l’édifice de la coopération militaire entre notre pays et le Royaume d’Arabie Saoudite. Il sera assisté dans sa tâche par l’Adjudant-chef Samba Sylvain.
Le Colonel Gaskreo a pris les rênes de ses nouvelles charges des mains du sortant, le Colonel Abba Tongari qui a apporté pendant 05 ans un nouveau dynamisme à la tête cette structure.

Installation of the New Defense Attaché of the Riyadh Military Mission
Colonel Reyang Gaskreo, new Defense Attaché to the Cameroon Embassy in Riyadh (Ambacam-Riyadh) was installed in his post during a solemn handover ceremony presided over by H.E Ambassador Iya Tidjani on 17 May 2022.
After greetings and congratulations on behalf of all the staff present, the Head of Mission called on him to self-sacrifice for the high responsibilities of the mission entrusted to him by the Head of State, Head of Armed Forces, H.E Paul BIYA.
In accordance with Decree 2012/149 of March 21, 2012 on the creation and organization of Military Missions in the Diplomatic Posts of the Republic of Cameroon abroad, Defense Attachés are responsible for:
-representation of the Ministry of Defense in diplomatic posts;
- the technical assistance of the Head of Diplomatic Post for all questions concerning defense in the area of competence and within local organizations;
- open research by lawful means of information in the field of interest to the Cameroonian Defense Forces;
-prospecting and participating in the acquisition of military equipment.
An experienced officer
Born in 1971 in Doubané, District of Guidiguis, Department of Mayo Kani, in the Far North region, Colonel Reyang Gaskreo comes from the promotion “Peace and Stability of EMIA” which he joined after the obtaining the Civil Engineering Diploma from Higher School of Public Works.
The Senior Officer of the National Gendarmerie, holder of a Staff Diploma obtained at the Yaoundé Gendarmerie Staff School, served in several administrations of the Ministry of Defense before being assigned to the Military mission of the High Commission of Cameroon in London in 2011. He is married and father of 03 children.
He is a man steeped in experience who comes to continue the admirable work of his predecessors and bring his personal touch to the building of military cooperation between our country and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He will be assisted in his task by Chief Warrant Officer Samba Sylvain.
Colonel Gaskreo took the reins of his new duties from the hands of the outgoing Colonel Abba Tongari who brought a new dynamism to the head of this structure for 05 years.
